St. Luke's College of Nursing, associated with the one hundred year old
St. Luke's International Hospital, began as a diploma school. Now it is
a four-year college awarding the master and doctoral degrees. The traditions
and philosophy of the college reflect the Christian motto of love. The
symbol of the college is the cross at the top of the tower of the chapel,
a beacon and landmark in Japan since 1933. Our new building, completed
in 1996, stands beside it as a place for learning and research. St. Luke's
College of Nursing welcomes women and men seeking to study and practice
nursing with sensitivity and love. And, the college welcomes highly knowledgeable,
compassionate, and skilled nurses for advanced education to become teachers,
researchers and leaders in the development of nursing and health care,
nationally and also globally.
